As an AAHA accredited veterinary facility, My Pet's Veterinary Center offers the highest standards in surgery and anesthesia for our patients. Whether your pet needs a routine, or a more complex procedure, our priority is your pet's safety, comfort and well being.
At My Pet's Veterinary Center, our extensive training, current medical techniques, and state-of-the-art equipment give us the ability to offer a wide array of routine, soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
Prior to anesthetizing your pet, an exam is performed by our veterinarians. A pre-anesthetic blood profile is also recommended. The blood profile screens for any possible organ, blood cell or clotting problem that could compromise the safety of our patient. An individual anesthesia protocol is then formulated for each patient.
Our skilled technicians monitor our patient throughout the full length of anesthesia. They monitor their respiration, heartrate, oxygenation levels, blood pressure and temperature. This thorough surveillance alerts us at the first sign of any potential problems, so we can solve or diffuse them early.
The latest surgical technology is available to our patients! The surgical laser eliminates the need for a scalpel blade. The laser actually cauterizes tissue and nerve endings as it cuts, reducing the amount of bleeding and neurological pain response. Less pain, swelling, and infection results from the incisions, allowing your pet to have a faster and more comfortable recovery.
